Lebanon in 1982 to destroy remaining Palestinian government, Israeli citizens began
protests against their government for waging a completely new war against their
neighboring countries. Eventually, the
Israeli government allowed the creation of Palestinian self-rule, with strict
limitations, in West Bank and Gaza, but Israel did not remove the settlements
created within the territory
